More Info

"Big O" has been a resident of Phoenix Municipal Stadium for the past seven years.  If you're wondering why "O"... well, it stands for orange (some of her color), and/or for the baseball team, which this stadium has been the spring training venue for a long time, ...the "O"akland A's.  "O" has been being fed daily by one of the stadium's maintenance employees. She has survived coyotes, lots of craziness during baseball games, and all the other dangers that go along with being an outdoor kitty.  She has found her safe haven underneath the bleachers of Phoenix Muni for many years.

As some of you may know, especially baseball fans, the A's will be moving to a new stadium, and this spring was their last season at Phoenix Muni, which means the crew members who have been working at the stadium, are all being relocated as a new team (ASU) will be taking over this venue.

This brings us to "O"... she needs to be moved out and relocated to a new home.  Some local rescues have been contacted, but because "O" is a bit feral, (she loves the man who feeds her, and does make an appearance to fans during games at times),  she may be hard to adopt out to a good home.  Her caregiver for all these years cannot take her to his home because of severe family allergies.  She has an opportunity to live out the rest of her life at a local sanctuary, but the sanctuary requires a sizable donation to cover her food and care.  This is why I am fundrasing for this kitty.  She is a bit famous too (a sports writer wrote an article about her a couple of years ago, and the article made it into the newspaper!! ... Wish I had it to share!!).  Any donation amount will help me to reach my goal to help this kitty live out the rest of her life in a happy, safe place!  Thanks to all you animal lovers out there!  We ("O" and I) appreciate your time and love of all four-legged creatures!
