Bid To Benefit Spina Bifida

Bid To Benefit Spina Bifida

From Jessie Stengel Ussery

This year we are hosting our 5th annual Bid To Benefit Spina Bifida on 2 Mondays (10/14 & 10/28) rather than on a Saturday. Our concern is that it may affect the funds raised. Please help by donating here!

Update #1

This is our 5th annual benefit for the Spina Bifida Association of the Carolina's. In the past we held the event on a Saturday and sold chicken bog, had a car show and sold T shirts that sponsors paid to be listed on. We've always worked this event with minimal staff and volunteers. This year it was decided we would hold the event during 2 consecutive Monday's during regular work hours. (No t-shirt sales, no car show and (gasp) no chicken bog)! Please help keep this fundraiser the success it has been. (We've never used a fundraising platform before and "the other one" has comparable fee's but it would have had to be listed as a "personal" fundraiser, rather than charitable)

More Info

Bryce is soon to be 8 years old and was the inspiration behind our starting a fundraiser for Spina Bifida of the Carolina's.  His mom, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins are the core organizers of the fundraiser which in the past was held on a Saturday and included a car show, T-shirt sales and chicken bog lunch sales. This year we will incorporate in to our regular work day and are hopeful the amount raised will not be adversely effected. The Association does not receive much federal funding and they have always been so appreciative of the funds we have raised. You may verify with Kristi Wass at 202-618-4752.
