About Me

Our son Austin was diagnosed with Autism in 2017. My Husband and I signed up for the 3rd Annual Friends With Autism 5K/Walk, it takes place on Sunday, April 5. We hope you can help the autism families and schools in Northeast Florida by coming out to run, cheer us on and/or donate to Team Austin!! The cool thing about this race is if Team Austin raises the minimum fundraising amounts Austin will receive a Friends With Autism grant.

The 3rd Annual Friends With Autism 5K/Walk & Autism Month Kickoff will take place on Sunday, April 5, in Jacksonville, FL and we hope you can help autism families and schools in Northeast Florida!!

RUN, WALK, STIM!  Our 3rd annual Friends With Autism 5K/Walk is more than just a Run and a Walk - it's a fun time for the entire community to come together and raise awareness and acceptance for families and people on the autism spectrum in Northeast Florida! Also, an opportunity for families to raise funds to provide a Modest Need grant for their loved needs on their autism journey.

When we raise awareness here...  Funds raised will stay here!  Funds raised will be returned to our community to provide grants to families, our mobile Sensory Room at community events, school supplies and Sensory Bags to students and schools; and our mission.

Fundraising has its perks... Tired of raising funds and it doesn’t directly impact your family?  All teams raising the minimum fundraising amounts receive a Friends With Autism grant to cover the cost of school tuition, home school supplies/equipment/software, therapy, assistive technology, adaptive equipment, medical copays, medical services, summer camp, tutoring, and more!!

$2500 and up - $1,000

$1500 to $2499 - $500

$1000 to $1499 - $250

The top three school fundraising teams raising over $2,500 will receive Deluxe Sensory Bags for their classrooms:

1st Place - 10 bags

2nd Place - 5 bags

3rd Place - 2 bags

Donating has its perks…

$100 or more – Run Walk Stim Bag

$150 or more – Run Walk Stim T-Shirt
