Dear Friends and Family,
I am preparing for my bar mitzvah and in doing that I am working on a mitzvah project. A mitzvah project encompasses some of the most important values of Judaism, repairing the world and having compassion for others.
For my mitzvah project, I will be helping to create a small library at The Hope Center, a homeless shelter in Wilmington.
I have recently visited The Hope Center and was amazed at all the wonderful books that generous people have already donated. I have decided to create a space to display the books so they are accessible to the residents. I will be purchasing and building bookshelves and sorting the books in the coming weeks.
Most of the effort to complete this project will come from building and sorting all the books so they can be enjoyed by the residents. I have estimated the cost of the bookshelves to be about $400. I hope that you can support me in my mitzvah project by donating to cover the cost of the bookshelves. Any excess funds will be donated to The Hope House.
Thank you so much for supporting me and my mitzvah project.
