Help spread the message of hope & recovery. There is a shortage or recovery material at the Bergen County Jail & these books will be distributed to inmates in units that do not have access to recovery materials.
There is a shortage of recovery literature and Big Books at the Bergen County Jail. Some units only have one or two Big Books for 50-100 inmates. Often the only access to any recovery is through the fantastic DRC rehab program, that only accepts a small percentage of inmates.
These books will be given to the Inmate Advocates office, and distributed to inmates in units that do not have access to recovery materials. The BCJ Big Book Drive is another component of our commitment to spread the message of recovery to the alcoholic who still suffers.
Currently, there are no AA or NA meetings for general population inmates. The only meetings are for the Rehab units, and Work Release unit. Often in Correctional Facilities, literature is the only avenue to hope for many of our brothers and sisters. Please Help.
