BCHS Theater Black Box Telescopic Seating

BCHS Theater Black Box Telescopic Seating

From Daniel Pronley

Applause wants to install pull-out seating in the BC Black Box. The Theater Program is gaining momentum and thereby BIGGER audiences - we want an unobstructed seating platform, which also allows reserved seating.

THANKS!!!!!

More Info

We desperately need your financial support.  When the original BC Black Box was constructed, telescopic seating was put on the "wish list" but never came to financial fruition.  Currently, the school and the district do not have funds to cover what is needed to support the increased audience attendance at the Black Box performances.

The student involvement in the BC Theater Program has drastically increased, and therefore the audience attendance has grown proportionally, but the Black Box does not have a proper seating platform to support the increase.

In 2017 the BC Theater has had a lot of "firsts."

- Spring Play broke attendance records with the first-ever play written by BC Alum, Edward Pronley.

- BC Fall Musical "Cinderella" at SLWC broke box office records - it was the first time all shows were sold out before the show even opened.

- An outdoor sign for the Black Box has been purchased.

- All performances in the Black Box will now be using Footlights programs.

- An additional light truss with 20 LED lights has been installed in the Black Box for performances.

-  The Elmbrook Summer Theater program has just been announced and will be running in 2018 for the first time ever.

BC Theater is a vibrant program with tremendous momentum and increased student participation. We very much want to provide the students a positive theater experience while providing our audiences quality entertainment - the least we could do is provide our ever-increasing audience comfortable seating.

Applause is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization supporting the Fine Arts Programs at BCHS - all donations are tax deductible.

Update #3

Good news and Bad news!
BC Players (Brookfield Central High School - Special Needs Drama Club) performed Fractured Fairy Tales last night to largest crowd ever in the history of BC Players - but we ran out of seating and it was standing room ONLY. Please, please help up us by donating so that all future audiences can be seated and enjoy the show!
