We are building bridges on our block in Baltimore through food, fun, music, and stoop sitting! Our goal is to bring together the diverse group of neighbors on 100 N Glover St.
My husband and I moved into Baltimore city in order to partake in the rich and complicated fabric of this great town. We did a great block party in 2016 which really brought people together. In the past year, politics has gotten really ugly and polarized people both in the city and outside. Racial tensions are high, kids lack hope and inspiration, neighbors hide in their houses for fear of crime, and families struggle to provide their kids with fun community experiences.
Help us push back on these forces of division and hopelessness. What better way to create hope and joy in your neighborhood then a party for everyone?!
This year we would like to hire a local band, do a cookout with burgers and healthy sides, offer fun and educational kids activities, and do a drawing for prizes. Any support is much appreciated!
