Matthew 19:14

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

All donations are directly being given to James's parents to help with baby James's expenses.

Charly, James's mom, started having horrible abdominal pain Monday night, October 4th around 1230am and at 430am she woke me to go to the hospital because they weren't easing off.

Upon arrival, there were several tests done and we found out in a very short time frame she was 38weeks pregnant, 7cm dilated and ready to have a baby.

Upstairs she went...

After a short  period of time, Dr. Carmichael (sp?), a gem of a woman and OBGYN doctor, called a Level 1 (?), explained to us and Charly that she needed to perform a crash CSection bc the baby's heart rate was dropping so low.

James Williams Romano ('Crash') was born at 0955am via emergency c section. He was 7lbs 7oz and 20" long. He looks like an O'Neal and he's beautiful in every way!!!

He went 20-23 minutes without oxygen or a heartbeat, CPR was performed the entire time, he was intibated within 3 minutes and had 3 doses of epinephrine.

James was airlifted to Greenville and was treated at Vidant in the NICU.

A HUGE amount of gratitude for the entire team at Vidant in Kenansville for their quick thinking and rapid response.

It is with great sadness and overwhelming sorrow I feel the need to let all of you incredible friends, family members and total strangers who are trying to help through prayer that James Williams Romano aka "Crash" passed peacefully in the arms of his loving Mommy this morning at 840am.

Between he and God, they decided to take the hard decision out of Mommy and Daddy's hands and his vitals declined throughout the evening.  The doctor came in the room at 450am to deliver the facts and possible steps in the next few hours.

His amazing Mom, Dad and Grandmother were all able to hold him,  rock him and patted that bottom as they would with any new baby.

James also has another INCREDIBLE purpose!!!  He has been given the honor of donating a heart valve to save another baby's life!!! (UPDATE:  There are now 2 babies who will benefit from Crash's heart valves❤)

The family would like to extend a tremendous THANK YOU to all who have offered help.

God is good and he doesn't make mistakes.  We just have to try and focus on the positive!!

Please continue to pray for this wonderful family as they navigate through this difficult time.

Thank you all again for the unconditional love and prayers.
