Brandon Simonds Jr. was born on March 12, 2019, and was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia on May 1, 2019.  For those that don’t know what Biliary Atresia is, it is a very rare liver disease that affects 1 in 18,000 kids a year.  The only cure for this is a liver transplant.  On May 2. 2019 Brandon had a liver biopsy to confirm the Biliary Atresia while under he had a surgery called a Kasai procedure this is where they remove the gallbladder and attached the liver to the small intestines.  This is the procedure they do before they have to do the liver transplant.  On May 9, 2019 Brandon Jr had to endure a 3rd surgery to pull his intestines up to the top and pull his bowel out.  In 4 to 6 weeks Brandon will have to have a 4th surgery to put his intestines back in place and put his bowel back in place.
