Assembly of God has been serving meals to the homeless for over 10 years. Although there were previously four local churches helping to feed the poor in Brookings, most stopped or reduced their assistance during the pandemic. That left our church and the Rev. Frank Yorke trying to take up the slack as homelessness has continued to increase in the city.
