My 13 year old rescue Bengal, Asia, needs sinus surgery. He has a very large sinus tumor that has affected the left eye - that eye and the tumor need to be removed. The money is for surgery and a biopsy for future.
We adopted Asia from a vet rescue when he was 10 months old. His previous owners wanted to have him euthanized because he tracked poop on their white carpet. Thank goodness for ethical vets. Anyway, he's our "baby bengal" because he's our first. He's the most chill and sweet bengal boy ever, and everyone who comes in contact adores him. He has three furbrothers and one fursister, and he is the "old man" - they respect him and have been taking very good care of him.
We usually have a savings fund for our furchildren, but recently one of our other boys broke his paw running after his sister...that depleted our pet savings, with the splints and x-rays, etc. Asia's already had surgery in October for this sinus tumor, but now it's back with a vengeance and has made his left eye useless. The human equivalent of this would be having a severe sinus infection with impaction behind one of your eyes.
The surgery is going to be approx. $2500. That includes all the testing, biopsies, removal of the tumor AND the eye, and possible rebuilding of the sinus cavity bone structure, medicines, and all the surgery minutiae. It is currently scheduled for Feb 26th, but can be moved out a bit if we can't come up with the money (we do not have credit cards, carecredit etc, so they are not options.).
We appreciate whatever you can give - if you can't, please forward this. Thank you so much.
