artist needs support for new studio space

Dear fundly community, 

I am Lena Snow, an interdisciplinary artist based in Germany, and I started to create art when I was a teenager. The fact that I had to live through a rough childhood definitely affected and shaped my art. Yet it was equally the process of emancipation and self-reliance that contributed to an elevation of my creativity. I have often felt disconnected and alone, but somehow Nature, and especially my creative Nature, was always there to comfort me and help me to carve out ways of surviving.

Due to the Corona crisis, I lost my studio space I could use for almost 3 years now. This space meant a lot to me and was very, very affordable. I felt home and welcome there. Unfortunately, the owner had to sell the place because he lost during Corona. I have been struggeling with jobs so that I can afford to continue with my art and to be able to finance my living.

My own flat is very, very small and everything is stuffed into one room. My living room, kitchen, bed-room and also work space all in one room. It has been quite difficult and I wish nothing more than a new studio space or accommodation with enough room to do my work. However, I can't afford that on my own and I am not earning nearly enough despite all my efforts.

Why the amout of 15,000? This is what I realistically estimate for a studio space to rent for one year plus deposit and transportation costs. One year of creating without having to worry all the time would be such a relief!

I also want to give back and say thank you. If you spend 75 $ or more, I will send you a signed and numbered fine art print of your choosing. If you can afford to donate 400$ or more, I would be happy to send you one of my artworks of my abstract series or other of your choosing. For extremely generous donors I will be gladly giving them one of my bigger pieces of their choice.
