Update #3

I love the challenge of fitting my passion into a smaller space. For me this means finding a way to “let my emotions go” while also staying within the boundaries of the smaller canvas.

When I started painting it was all about expressing what was going on inside me. It took lots of area to do that. LOL. Now I feel like I have a bit more control and am able to take advantage of new tools and smaller brushes and still have the same effect.

And I love that I can tuck these pieces into nooks and crannies on my shelves, in corners, on small walls, and even group them for a collage effect. It’s a great way for me to brighten up smaller spaces.

More Info

Just over 18 months ago, my life turned in a new direction. I moved 1100 miles away from my friends, my home, and my support system.  I came to a place where I knew only a few people. Things looked dramatically different as I traded the 20+ years of self-employment for more stability working for someone else.

Six months ago (just slightly a year later) I, like so many others, lost my job due to COVID-19. It has not been easy because that loss again changed the trajectory of my life.  I had finally felt like I was getting back “on my feet” and feeling solid in how my life was playing out.  Suddenly I was left scrambling to even find a place to live.

But God.

He is always good and uses everything for our good and His glory.  There are so many amazing stories I can share. But this online event is not about that. (Although I am more than happy to share, just ask.)

This is about a great opportunity.

The Offer:

I am offering some of my favorite and most valued pieces of original artwork through this crazy opportunity. Net proceeds will go towards sustaining me as I pursue God's direction on fulfilling his unique call of service for my life.

There are a few things that have never changed during my adult life. 1) I have a passion for working with women and desire to see them set free from shame and “less than” living and 2) I know that Papa God desires us to live a powerful, purposeful life. So I am determined to live intentionally and see Him unfold these things in my life.

(If you are not familiar with my healing art journey, you can read a snapshot below in the first update.)

How it Works:

Select a donation level and you will receive that Thank You Gift (perk)

Update #2

Healing

This is my most recent piece and is hanging in my living room right now. I began working on it shortly after I moved to Dallas and just didn’t’ feel like I was making progress. So, I put it away for many months. A few months ago, I decided it was time to bring it back out and see what happened.

As I began working I was reflecting on the past 18 months. I had come through a period of monumental healing… a period of transition that I did not seek out, but for which I am so grateful. There were definitely dark moments, but those moments gave way to so much joy and excitement for what lies ahead.

When I painted this, someone I love was also facing a dark time. He was struggling and battling for his life. As I prayed for him while I painted I felt like this was a promise of the restoration and healing that was to come. This was a declaration of joy and a life made whole … a life that would be a gift to so many others.

When Papa God brings healing into our lives it doesn’t mean that our past is forgotten. It means that we are released from the bondage of the past. And when we walk in freedom, unashamed of what we’ve done (or what’s been done to us) we are able to help light the way for others to walk in freedom with us.

Healing is a gift that keeps on giving.

Update #1

My Healing Art Journey
When I started taking art workshops several years ago I did so out of desperation. I was battling PTSD and my daughter was battling a traumatic brain injury. Art became a way to both process what was happening and to help me communicate what was going on inside me. Soon it became a way for me to connect with God and receive his healing words and touch.

Each of my pieces tells a story. It expresses an exchange between Papa God and I … my pouring out my heart and His pouring out his love.

When I started painting I never dreamed of even sharing my work with anyone. But God had other plans. It’s hard to even fathom this, but hundreds of others have also been blessed by my work and now my art hangs in homes and businesses from coast to coast.
