Dear Family, Friends, Co-Workers, and Clients,

It is with the deepest sadness and shock that I announce the recent death of my father, Arthur “Art” Ramirez. My dad was a man of tremendous kindness, love, humility, and generosity. He had such an energetic, positive, and fighting spirit. He set goals and worked hard to meet them; however, his main motivation was to make sure our family had all we needed. He had the biggest heart imaginable. He refused no one assistance when it was asked of him. He always gave generously, not thinking of himself.

He made constant sacrifices for our family, allowing his consolation to be that we were cared for. He supported us in all of our endeavors. He encouraged us to be the best version of ourselves. He reminded us often of how proud he was of us. He always gave second chances, loved solving problems, and cared about his family, friends, co-workers, employees, and clients all with the same generosity and genuine concern.

He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, relative, friend, colleague, and boss. He will be greatly missed as one who never saw a challenge too steep, and one who never gave up on caring for those around him. He gave his all in all he did, and I believe his legacy will live on through all those who knew him. I remember him telling me as a child, “What’s the point of doing something if you are not going to do your best at it?” Those words stuck with me for the rest of my life. Even though I feel I fall short of this at times, it helps me to think of my dad and the tremendous love he showed to me and others. Growing up, I watched him pour his heart and soul out each day into his work. He built barns but the structures he really built were relationships and impressions that were lasting.

In his work he would meet people, come home, and share interesting stories about his trips, clients, and adventures. I loved these stories because he always had good things to say about his clients, dealers, employees, etc. Through his eyes we got to see the good in everyone. He always listened to others as if they were the only person around. He remembered names, occupations, stories, lives. Everyone mattered to him and he forgot no one. He was a very special person and we love him very much. We pray we can live up to his example of kindness, openness, and love.

He leaves behind his wife, six daughters, two of which are still being homeschooled by our stay-at-home mom, and five grandchildren. There is now no household income due to our father leaving us who was the sole provider.

We thank you in advance for any help you can offer our family in this difficult time. We miss his joy, his energy, and his zeal for life. May God bless you for your generosity.

In Christ,

Christina Ramirez

(Daughter of Art Ramirez)
