Art in the Park: West End Atlanta

From Alexander Chenault

I'm raising money for Art in the Park: West End Atlanta. Donations will go towards art and camp supplies as well as commissioning a local teaching artist/muralist to help the youth paint the mural.

The Art in the Park Summer Camp Project was started in 2017 out of a labor of love. Since then, the initiative has worked to form partnerships with Park Pride to work towards a safer and cleaner Howell Park, Atlanta Public Library where participants engaged in after-school art enrichment activities, Chisom Housing Group where participants worked with a local muralist to paint a two story mural on the facade of an affordable housing community in West End and install a gallery wall of their abstract art in Oakland City.

This year, Gill Gallery Inc. would like to take over Howell Park as we bring Art in the Park to the West End; participants will learn to paint from local artists.  Participants will also repair the two story mural they painted in 2018. We will also be having food, music, a back to school giveaway and face painting activities.

Anything you can give will help us reach our goal!
