Hello, my name is Tiffany Cake, my boyfriend and I were involved in an apartment arson on July 13 and through no fault of our own we have lost our place to live at Suffolk Towers in downtown Suffolk. We are lucky enough to have been put into a hotel for a little time but that has come to an end and it is a daily struggle to find safe accommodation to sleep. The owner of the building chose not to honor our leases and gave us less than seven days to get items from our apartment. Much had to be left behind and it pained our little family to lose even more but it’s just items and they can eventually be replaced. To make matters worse, our van has broken down and I had to make the difficult choice to let it go. We are left with very little… and we have followed any tips and instructions offered by social workers. Please consider helping us get toward our goal, it is to be used for us to make a choice in where we can find a place to rent. Any money I make working is being used to make it till the next time I am paid. We are trying to make the best of this uncertain time and will happily take suggestions from friends and family. I have battled with if I wanted to make this but the reality is we need help. I am hopeful we can make something positive from this situation.
