I am raising money for the Texas Tech Steel Band, Apocalyspo Now’s trip to Trinidad in May. We’ll be staying at the University there, performing, and learning about the culture and history behind steel drumming.

Trinidad and Tobago is the birth place of steel drumming. Large pan yards are filled with hundreds of people playing steel drums well into the night. The music is beautiful and the comradery immense. I have the opportunity this year to travel to Trinidad and learn all about the history and culture surrounding steel drums and would love any help to make that opportunity a reality.
