LiveMore ScreenLess began in 2019 when founders Maree and KK realized a quiet crisis was brewing among the very group they had spent their careers supporting - young people. When KK witnessed the daily struggles facing her students from constant use of digital devices and when national and statewide student data reported alarming increases in anxiety, depression and suicide ideation, Maree and KK sprung into action!

While research on the effects of screens is emerging, evidence clearly points to a correlation between screen misuse and overuse and rising trends of anxiety and depression among young people, as well as deleterious effects on physical health, on focus and concentration, and on learning. LiveMore ScreenLess is addressing this quiet crisis by listening, learning from, and engaging young people. Youth voice is the foundation of LiveMore ScreenLess

  • If you feel overwhelmed by technology’s powerful design and sophisticated algorithms and you are especially worried about its grasp on young people  -  join us!

  • If you feel an urgency to help young people capture a childhood like you remember - exploring the outdoors, reading books, playing with friends, and being curious (maybe even bored!) - join us!

  • If the documentary “The Social Dilemma” left you horrified, sickened and puzzled to know how to support young people  -  join us!

  • If you are looking for an opportunity to make a difference - join us!

As we listen to parents, family members, teachers, school administrators and staff, mental health counselors, public health professionals, legislators and business leaders, we hear their deep concern about the impact of tech use on the wellbeing of young people. It is CRITICAL that we face the challenges that screen misuse and overuse has on the health and wellbeing of young people, especially now as the pandemic has forced many students to learn from home on screens.

LiveMore has built a solid foundation and we are scaling up our efforts to fulfil our mission: to advocate and promote digital wellbeing for and with young people through a collaborative and comprehensive community approach. Our crowdfunding campaign seeks to raise critical funds so that LiveMore can further Amplify YouthVoice and Launch LiveMore initiatives to fortify a Digital Wellbeing future for all.

You can make a difference by supporting LiveMore’s initiatives to:

1.    Build a collection of Youth Digital Wellbeing Stories: Written, video, art, spoken word, and music to amplify young people’s experience in the 24/7 digital world and make them available as a powerful educational and awareness tool for use in schools, after school programming, community nonprofits and homes.

2.    Develop an inquiry-based National Digital Wellbeing Leadership Training and Certificate Program for Young People and Adults - this “train the trainer,” peer to peer model will expand Digital Wellbeing awareness, knowledge and skills to youth and adults throughout the country.

3.    Record Professionally-Produced Parenting Podcasts with Local and National Digital Wellbeing Experts to add to LiveMore’s robust, research-based, one-stop-shop Parent Toolkit so that parents have what they need to promote digital wellbeing for their family.

DONATE TODAY. CHANGE TOMORROW.

Support the lift-off of an organization deeply committed to fortifying the future so all young people can thrive in a digital age, now and for generations to come.  Every tax-deductible donation, whether it’s $10, $100, or $10,000, goes directly to LiveMore ScreenLess, a federally recognized 501(c)(3).
