More Info

From Ally's Facebook Page:

We were blessed with our 2nd daughter Ally about 5 years after our 1st! We didn't know anything was wrong until about 10 days after her birth. At that point she had problems gaining weight, waking up to eat, and she had jaundice. At about 10 days old we noticed she was having seizures! We had no idea what was ahead of us! Baby Ally is currently 2 1/2 years old. She is like a newborn. She has significant developmental delay, seizures, chronic lung disease, allergies, and asthma! She does not smile socially, reach out for things, or interact with us much at all. She is the sweetest baby ever. On a good day she makes noises at us. But most of the time she sleeps! She was diagnosed with Ohtahara Syndrome when she was about 7 months old! The doctors told us to take her home and love her while we have her! That is news that no parent should hear! As parents you have such hopes and dreams for your children! Then its all taken away so suddenly and we ended up grieving the child we thought we were going to have! We still love and enjoy the sweet girl we have. There is good days and bad but we try to see the sun through the rain! She does bring us great joy! This page is a means to share Ally's story with family and friends and hopefully maybe be able to help someone else! We hope that you like our page and that you share it.

Update #1

Ally passed away Friday September 3, 2021. She leaves behind a loving and grieving family. And as many of us know the medical bills don't go away just because your family member is no longer with you. Please consider supporting her family as they learn to live without her, no matter how hard that may be.
