To many of us locals, the Deck was a safe haven to get away from our daily lives and enjoy an ice cold beer with our friends. No matter who walked through the door, they would be welcomed with a smile and a beer. The deck has put smiles and laughter in the air since April 17, 1957. Now lets be honest. There are many bars on the beach all over California, but for some reason none of them can come close to the Deck. Why is this? In all honesty, a bar is only as great as its worst employee! We all know and love the staff at the Deck, but do we really know how hard they work to keep the smiles and laughter going? It can be very strenuous work, and they do it all for love of the bar and the love of the locals and regulars. Just as the bartenders make the bar more enjoyable, the regulars make the job more fun as well. Due to the Covid- 19, your favorite beach bar has been shut down for the next few months. We are all missing our little home away from home very much. The locals have lost their safe haven, but the employees have lost their jobs and financial income. We have started this "GoFundMe" to help these bartenders and employees stay above water until they are able to get behind the bar again. If you miss the Deck and your favorite employees, then please donate whatever you can to allow them to survive the next couple months, so that they can serve your beer when this is all over. Your generous donation of any size will help support your beloved bartenders during these hard times. All proceeds will be pooled and split evenly with all regular Deck staff.

Thank you, stay safe, and God bless you all!
