Hello family & friends! On November 5th, I will be running the NYC Marathon! I've partnered with Foundation for Strength to raise funds that will support cancer patients and their families! See below for more details.
Hello family and friends!
A little over two weeks ago, I had the opportunity to run the Chicago Marathon. As sore and achy as I still am, I am not done yet! In 12 days, I will be running the New York City Marathon. More importantly, I have partnered with an awesome organization, Foundation for Strength, and will be running to raise money for a great cause!
Foundation for Strength was started to help support patients and their families battling cancer or other major illnesses. Since being founded earlier this year, they have raised money for cancer research, scholarships for former cancer patients, and a fund for patient's who are going through financial hardship. They have also partnered with a number of great organizations such as Mott Children's Hospital and Children's Hospital of Michigan.
On a more personal note, Cory Allen, one of the organization's founders and a Ewing's Sarcoma survivor, has made an enormous impact on one of my closest friend's own cancer journey. When Alex Berlin was given the same diagnosis during our senior year at Michigan State in 2014, Cory was one of the first individuals to reach out and has been a huge source of support throughout Alex's 200+ chemotherapy treatments. I am confident that Cory will be able to impact many more lives with any funds that we raise!
