Thanks again to all our supporters. The exhibition has opened to critical acclaim and we hope you all have the chance to see it next time you are in the neighborhood. An official letter is on its way to you to acknowledge your support. Until then please enjoy the following:

More Info

The Center for Art in Wood is an internationally acclaimed nonprofit museum, gallery, and library resource center located in Philadelphia, PA.

In order to keep our exhibitions free to the public, the Center depends on donations to cover the costs associated with the transport and installation of work that literally comes from all over the globe.

This exhibition has 45 works by 40 artists, including a number of larger works and installation pieces.

A publication on the exhibition has been funded but there remain costs associated with the show that we need to raise funds to cover.

How your support can help us throughout the year: your donation to this campaign will be matched by a challenge grant from the Windgate Foundation. Your gift will be doubled--or tripled if it is a first-time donation or upgraded donation.

Your support will ensure our ability to host this important exhibition that is a tribute to the history of chair-making in Philadelphia and a recognition of the ingenuity and vision of international artists and furniture makers working today.

Exhibiting artists include: Jennifer Anderson, Justin G. Bailey, Bob Brox, Stoel Burrowes, Sheri Crider & Nina Dubois, Alicia Dietz, John Jack R. Elliot, Dugan Essick, Adrian Ferrazzutti, Amy Forsyth, Jordan Gehman, Sophie Glenn, Tad Gloeckler, Doug Jones & Carrie Compton, Lauren Kalman, Patrick Kana, David Knopp, Beth Krensky, Joseph G. La Macchia, Jack Larimore, Po Shun Leong, Laura Mays, Christine Mei, Taiji Miyasaka & Darrin Griechen, Mira Nakashima, Christy Oates, Keunho Peter Park, Gord Peteran, Dean Pulver, Andrew Jay Rumpler, Fabiano Sarra, Matt Selnick, Mark Sfirri, Michaela Stone, Joshua Torbick, Misha Volf, and Takahiro Yoshino
