The Foundation For Family Values is creating a documentary in an effort to teach men, women and children the warning signs to look for when it comes to human sex trafficking.
Human trafficking by the numbers:40.3 million victims globally.A $150 billion annual industry. One in seven endangered US runaways is likely to be a trafficking victim and an estimated 800,000 women and girls fall victim to human trafficking every year.
These statistics only tell part of the story. Right now in the United States, hundreds of thousands of women and girls are subject to sexual exploitation or forced servitude. Behind the numbers: An equal number of stories of pain, suffering, and deprivation. Stories that have been kept secret and left untold—until now.
The Foundation for Family Values is dedicated to telling those stories, and in doing so exposing human trafficking’s horrific effects on its countless nameless victims. At the same time, we’re working to build broader awareness of this catastrophic practice in order to make it easier for young people and the broader public to recognize the warning signs of human trafficking, get aid from law enforcement, protect themselves, and provide aid to its innocent victims.
Using proprietary information provided by former Federal law enforcement personnel and interviews gained through exclusive access to victims, we are creating AGAINST MY WILL, a comprehensive documentary video designed to tear away the shroud of secrecy surrounding human trafficking. Made for presentation at public and nonpublic schools and universities, AGAINST MY WILL will provide viewers with a firsthand look at how human trafficking works, its devastating effects, and provide insight on how viewers can help victims while protecting themselves.
To achieve this goal, we’re asking for help from you. You can help bring this project to fruition—and in so doing, help prevent the next 800,000 human tragedies already in the making. We think that you will feel, as we do, that even one of these tragedies is one too many—and we believe that by working together, we can work effectively towards eliminating this barbaric and cruel practice.
