First of all, thank you for coming to my page and reading on.  As I'm sure you have experienced in your own life at some point,  we do many things in life that we don't want to do.  Pride is often times our greatest barrier to success.  So, with that said, I can tell you that asking for money to fund a business a few weeks before the Holidays and my wedding is about as far outside of my comfort zone as possible.

The reason that I find myself in this position, honestly, is by choice.  I was born in 1985; when I graduated high school in 2003, like so many others my age I was told that the "next" thing to do was to go to college and get my four-year degree.  So I did, and I had a blast, and I had absolutely no idea or care over what kind of financial burden I was taking on as a 17-year old fresh out of high school.  My years at St. Thomas, my two degrees and my Masters work have all been worth it.  However, I am done living by the philosophy that it's acceptable to "figure out later" how to pay for something today.  I absolutely refuse to take out any debt to self-fund my business venture.  I have started an independent consulting company focused on organizational and business development.  We're called  "RAW Insight" and we work with companies of all sizes to better their organization and their employees.  You can check it out more at www.raw-insight.com.
