Countdown to race day - 24 hours left! David is getting ready to run 24 hours starting at 8am tomorrow morning (8/15).

Lex will be on social media all day (check out @physiologyfirst on Instagram!) with updates around how the on-site and virtual racers are doing, and updates around how close we are to our goal of 1000 miles! Remember that you can run with us virtually and DM Lex your miles, or you can donate here! $100 will be equal to 1 mile run.

We are excited to kick off the run tomorrow, and look forward to bringing more awareness to the need for student and educator focused stress and anxiety education to help our future leaders! See you all online tomorrow!

More Info

Prior to the quarantine Physiology First President David Bidler planned to run from Maine to Washington D.C to raise awareness about the need for stress and anxiety education in the classroom. As traveling became less safe due to COVID-19, we moved the event closer to home. The goal? To raise our annual operating budget while highlighting the need to prioritize the mental well-being of our future leaders. In the times of COVID-19 this need has only grown more urgent as teachers and students will be navigating one of the most challenging school years in recent history. Together, we can provide them with the tools needed to succeed.

On Saturday, August 15th, 2020, Physiology First board members David Bidler and Ian Ramsey, and other race registrants will be running for 24 hours with a goal to collectively accumulate 1000 miles to raise awareness about the need for student and educator focused stress and anxiety outreach this Fall.

Beginning at 8am on Saturday, August 15, until 8am on Sunday August 16, you can help us towards our goal. You can either run a few miles to contribute to our goal of running 1000 miles and DM us your contribution @physiologyfirst on Instagram, or donate. $100 will be equal to 1 mile run. Help us reach our goal of 1000 miles and help to put optimism, positivity, and a vision for a brighter future on the calendar this August.
