I'm raising money to help pay for a special event that I want to attend with my business. The Georgia Bridal Show will give me a chance to put my business in front of hundreds of newly engaged couples.
At the age of 50 I went back to college hoping to improve on what I'd always loved to do, Design. I graduated with a 4.0 and an Award of Excellence. It wasn't easy deciding on what area of Design I would make my business in but the donation of my brother's plotter soon made it more clear.
I began creating a variety of items from children's decals to business decals, then wedding decals and stencils for diy'ers. That was a hit! My business took off but with the new expenses for materials and supplies, I quickly created a debt which has yet to go away! My first year went better than expected but still not enough to support me and the business. The second year was slightly better but I'm still not financially balanced. Now a new opportunity has come to my attention; The Georgia Bridal Show is coming to Macon in February!
The bridal show will be a huge boost for my business locally, as my business has been 95% on Etsy so far. This event will put me and my physical product in front of hundreds of newly engaged couples who will be looking for wedding decorations and such. I have to say I am tremendously excited but also a little concerned I may not have the money in time to show.
Even the smallest of donations adds up and so I'm asking for whatever one can spare, whether it be $1 or $100 to help me meet my goal of $500. I have also set up a gofundme as well to try and access as many people as I can. Few donations have come through that channel thus far. $70 has been received there.
I understand this isn't the best time of the year to be asking for donations so if you are unable to help, your good thoughts prayers are very welcomed.
With sincere thanks and God's blessings
