This Applied Leadership program is designed to cultivate a culture of servant leadership in the youth of Hawaii by giving them the opportunity to design and lead out in local/international community service trips.
We've hit 50% of our goal! Thank you for your support and prayers!
Hawaiian Mission Academy through its Applied Leadership course gives student leaders the opportunity to coordinate and develop both local and international community service opportunities. In the 2017/2018 school year they visited the nearby island of Moloka'i and helped to clean up the school/church and visited locals in an elderly community, singing to them and praying with them. During March of 2018 they traveled to an aboriginal village in Taiwan (this was the first trip of its kind and entirely student created and student led) where they conducted VBS and helped locals with farming and cleaning.
In the fall of 2018 they have already traveled to Maui to do landscaping and janitorial work at an elementary school and will also visit the Kauai to conduct a Vacation Bible School program there while also helping the locals out with cleaning, gardening, and repair work.
They are slated to visit Big Island in February and Taiwan again in March of 2019.
This leadership and missions program is fully donations based and all donations go towards supplies, travel, and program running costs. Many of the student leaders involved in this program hope to make a career of service opportunities and are themselves in great need of financial support as they seek opportunities to learn how to pursue such a career.
The student leaders from this class are very appreciative of your time and interest in supporting their endeavor.
