A Journey to Japan for Personal Growth

Hello everyone! My name is Charles Perkins, and I'm reaching out to you today with a heartfelt request for your support. I've faced numerous challenges in my life, battling depression, anxiety, and childhood PTSD. However, I refuse to let these struggles define me. I believe that there's a vast world out there waiting to be explored, and I am determined to break free from the limitations that have held me back.

Ever since I was a child, I've been captivated by the beauty of Japan and its rich culture. Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to embark on a short trip to Japan, which turned out to be a life-changing experience. It opened my eyes to the endless possibilities life has to offer, far beyond the confines of my small Kentucky town. This journey inspired me to chase my dreams and make a difference in Japan.

I have enrolled in college to pursue my bachelor's degree, and my ultimate goal is to teach English in Japan while engaging in meaningful cultural exchange activities. By teaching English, I hope to contribute to the education of those eager to learn while immersing myself in the vibrant Japanese culture. This endeavor has given me a sense of purpose and has significantly reduced the impact of my depression and anxiety.

While I work towards my long-term goals, I want to venture back to Japan for a more extended stay to deepen my understanding of their culture and lifestyle. I yearn to learn from the locals, exchange stories about our lives, and further develop my language skills. Unfortunately, financial responsibilities such as school and bills make it challenging for me to pursue my dreams independently.
