Financial support to help get our mortgage on track and medical expenses paid while my husband Dennis focuses on his healing from Hodgkins Lymphoma. This is a broad summary of our situation so I'd like to explain furt...
Wanted to continue to share updates, Dennis is back at home after being given 2 blood transfusions before he was released and is feeling better than he has all week. His discharge paperwork states he was treated for anemia that was caused by the chemotherapy (healing from the pneumonia is still improving!). We're bringing him to see his oncologist on Tuesday to decide what the next steps should be and are grateful for all the love and prayers as we figure out a plan for his future treatment that doesn't result in the need for him to be hospitalized! Much Love, the Duvall Family
This is a hard update, but here we go.. Dennis was readmitted to the hospital today. We took him for his third chemotherapy treatment at Mass general and when his EKG and x-rays came back abnormal, they transferred him by ambulance to Newton Wellesley Hospital where they admitted him for more testing, but they suspect he's experiencing complications from the pneumonia that seems to be making a comeback, as well as setbacks due to the chemo medications taking their toll on his body. Making an update that isn't the best news is difficult because sharing vulnerable moments like these are scary. We don't want this to be our reality but it is a poignant demonstration of where we're at right now and why donations mean so much to us. As our fundraiser nears its end, we're hoping to have the funds to pay our mortgage lender so the threats of forclosure aren't contributing to the stresses we're already heaped with right now. So much is up in the air and we are remaining optimistic that our fundraising efforts and the love and generosity of those who feel called to donate will give us the best chance at remaining in our home while we continue to fight for Dennis' life and health. With deep and humble gratitude, the Duvall Family
My humble heart is so grateful for the love and donations we've received so far in our fundraising campaign. So far, the funds we've raised have helped us to pay our oil bill and get ready for the coming cold season here in New England. When we started this campaign, I never could have gained the courage to ask for help if it weren't for the support of close friends and family who encouraged me to do it. My hubby and I have always worked hard for everything we need and asking for help was scary and difficult. We're continuing to be amazed and grateful that people are taking time and giving so generously. We still have a ways to go to get to where we need to be, but help along the way is making a huge difference in our struggles emotionally as well as financially. Thank you all! With love, the Duvall family
