A Graduation Dream: Help Xavier Celebrate and Step into His

More Info

Dear Kind Souls,

My name is Angie, a 47-year-old registered nurse who has dedicated her life to caring for others. Today, I find myself in a role reversal, reaching out for a bit of care and support during a trying time in my life. This fundraiser isn't just about overcoming financial hardship; it's about honoring a milestone and nurturing the dreams of a young man (my son) Xavier, poised to make his mark on the world.

Our Story:

Recently, I made the tough decision to leave my job due to an untenable work environment. The aftermath has been a financial strain.  I could not have anticipated the difficulty in obtaining new employment. Amidst this, my son, Xavier, stands as a beacon of hope and pride. He is graduating high school this June, marking a first in three generations. His aspirations are as lofty as his spirit – to become a renowned voice actor, with dreams of eventually gracing the silver screen.

Xavier's passion for theatre, video games, and martial arts is only matched by his dedication to his craft. Xavier is one of the most resilient people I’ve ever known, school has been a struggle since the first week of kindergarten, but not once did he give up. He endured so many hurdles, both in and out of the classroom. At home we encouraged his strengths and bravery while being his biggest advocates. As he approaches graduation, I am filled with joy, admiration, and fear (to be honest) that I won’t have the financial option to Celebrate his momentous accomplishment.  Per his request we planned a trip to Las Vegas, to see his favorite band “Imagine Dragons” and to experience a city of lights and possibilities, where he can network and take his first steps towards his grand ambitions.

The Challenge:

The loss of my income has led to a cascade of overdue bills and the looming threat of utilities being shut off. We've taken measures to stay afloat, including putting our home on the market, but the path ahead remains uncertain. The amount we need to raise, between $4500 to $6000, would provide us with the breathing room we desperately need to navigate this transitional period, and celebrate Xavier for the young man he’s become.

How Your Support Helps:

Your generous contributions will directly fund:

- Essential utility bills to keep our home running.

- Car payments to ensure we have transportation.

- The graduation trip to Las Vegas, which is not merely a celebration but a steppingstone for Xavier's career in voice acting.

Every dollar brings us closer to stability and allows Xavier to step into his future without the weight of financial worry clouding his achievements.

I have always believed in the power of community and the collective spirit of giving. By supporting this campaign, you're not just helping a family in need; you're investing in the dreams of a young man who represents the hope and resilience of his generation.

Thank you for considering our plea and for any support you can offer. Together, we can turn a challenging end into a beautiful beginning.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Angie BSN, RN
