A diagnosis for Oreo

A diagnosis for Oreo

From Mariaelena Landaeta

I am raising funds to give my cat Oreo an MRI that will allow his neurologist to diagnose the origin of his ataxia. We have already carried out other tests but none are conclusive

More Info

We rescued Oreo and his sister Samba 5 years ago after their mother was poisoned on the street. 2 months ago Oreo began to have motor difficulties, stopped running and climbing on furniture.

I took him to the vet as soon as I realized his problems, but the x-rays showed no bone injury. He was on anti-inflammatory and analgesic treatment, but showed no improvement.

His condition worsened very quickly, to the point that he could not walk without falling, using the litter box without falling sideways is almost impossible.

I took him to a neurologist for more tests and treatments, but nothing seems to work.

We need to perform an MRI, which would be the last examination to be able to find the origin of his disease, but it is extremely expensive.

We are in Venezuela and the budgets they have given us exceed our economic capacity.

Please help me diagnose Oreo and give him the necessary treatment so that he recovers.

We love Oreo and it breaks our hearts to see him like this

He is a sweet, affectionate and very playful cat, he deserves to regain his health
