Cancer is arguably the most terrible monster to walk the planet. Whether it is someone we know well or are just vaguely acquainted with through our work lives, everyone has been affected by this illness to some degree.

I grew up in the presence of cancer, with my younger brother, Marc, fighting and kicking leukemia's a$$ twice during his (then) 16-year-old life. It was a life-changing, as well as life-threatening, experience for our entire family, but what made it easier for everyone was the astounding care that we all received while spending days and nights in the Montreal Children's Hospital Oncology Ward. The Marc Normandeau Foundation, started in 2009 when Marc was just overcoming his second bout of leukemia, directly benefits the MCH's Oncology Ward, purchasing little pleasures like Play Stations for the young patients. However, the goal in the long run is to raise enough to hopefully hit the $100,000 mark to purchase a new piece of medical equipment which the ward has been in need of for a while.

With your help, I'd like to help raise $1,000 for the Marc Normandeau Foundation. Donate a few $, and I'll run through a cloud of color while running 5k. It's all for the sake of cleaning cancer off the table, after all.

Let's do this.
