The impetus for #4Help and what we hope to accomplish is in great part based upon our interpretation of the intent of recent United States legislation, H.R.2345115th Congress (2017-2018), which established that there is a need for the allocation of:
a simple, easy-to-remember dialing code for use as a national suicide prevention and mental health crisis hotline system would be in the strongest interests of individuals requiring the furnished by prevention and crisis hotlines
We believe that likewise the logic in this extends to other hotline services, such as; Consumer & Community Resources, Elderly & Disabled, Education, Training & Employment, Food, Fuel & Utilities, Health Care, Housing, Legal, Mental Health, Parent & Children, Public Substance Use, Transportation, Veterans and a of subcategories related to each of these topics.
