Home: Season 1 Family 3rd Act Theatre Company aspires to be an inclusive space for the OKC performing arts community to ply their craft. Funds will be used to for operational cost for our debut season, including rights.
3rd Act Theatre Company is a Non-Profit Theatre with the mission of providing enjoyable theatre for everyone. Founded by five members of the Oklahoma City Theatre Community with 72 years of combined local experience, together we felt a void in the theatre community. With our knowledge and skill we felt we could provide additional opportunities to enhance the growing arts and culture that enriches our city.
The Main Season will focus on plays that are Family Friendly, Classic and Literary Works with the addition of “Bonus Shows” that will be a bit darker or more controversial and adult in theme.
Though outside of our focus, 3rd Act does intend to produce Musicals, though we prefer to do those that are lesser known and seen.
COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS AND INVOLVEMENT
Community is imperative to the production and continuation of live theatre. It is an evening event for families, couples, and individuals alike and provides a shared and unique experience between the members of the production and the audience. It only makes sense to invest in your community with the same effort and intention.
We are pursuing partnerships focused on literary-based productions. By partnering with locally owned bookstores, we will sponsor a book club where the story and it’s stage adaptation will be discussed. We intend to offer weekday matinees of this production to middle and high schools.
THE FUTURE3rd Act Theatre Company intends to provide a season that consists of eight productions: four Main Season and four “Fringe”. Outside of the season we are looking forward to including production tours, fundraising tours, and adult workshops and classes geared toward our established theatre community and those seeking involvement in theatre.
