Write your story here.Friends, I am planning the 3rd Annual 24 Hours of Golf Fundraiser this upcoming month at Locust Valley Golf Course in Attleboro.  I will start playing golf on Saturday, June 28th at noon and will continue to play for 24 straight hours (thru the night of course, glow in the dark golf balls!) in an effort to raise as much money as possible for junior golf in the area.  Over the past two years we have raised over $15,000 to help fund free golf, lessons, tournaments, equipment, memberships etc. so essentially any child from the surrounding area can pick up the game of golf at no cost regardless of their financial background. As many of you know the game of golf holds a special place in my heart and has had a tremendous impact on my life.  I come from a family where my parents were divorced at a young age and golf (like many sports can) provided me an outlet to stay out of trouble, learn a game that I could hopefully enjoy for the rest of my life while all along learning life lessons that can equate to almost anything. Last year we also had a friend of mine Devon McCourty from the New England Patriots along with several of his teammates (Kyle Arrington, Adrian Wilson, Duron Harmon, Brandon Jones) at Locust Valley when we completed the 24 hours of golf to participate in putting, chipping, long drive contests with any children from the community that wanted to spend some time with them.  Thanks again to Devin this year he has made time out of his busy schedule to be at Locust Valley in Attleboro from noon till 2pm that Sunday, June 1st when we finish.  Not sure who else will be in attendance this year as many of the players haven't solidified their summer schedules but he is confident he can get some of the other guys to attend as well.If you would like to make a donation you can simply make a flat donation, donate a specific amount per hole completed (I think last year we completed over 160 in the 24 hour stretch) or sponsor the event thru your respective company. Completely understand everyone has their own charitable endeavors and that is what makes every cause so unique and special.  For me, this is the one that means everything to me so any consideration you can provide is and will be appreciated more than you ever know:)Check out the article The Sun Chronicle ran last year that provides a little more detail on the event along with some pictures of the kids that participated with the Patriots that were on hand.http://www.thesunchronicle.com/news/local_news/golfing-around-the-clock/article_629c0659-9e8a-52bc-b862-a09863ab5483.htmlAs I say every year I can't thank you enough for the continued support as you never know when the golf bug is going to change someone's life for the better forever.
