Have you considered becoming a sustaining donor yet!? We're excited you made it this far, it probably means you're one of the many wonderful people that love to help others. And becoming a sustaining donor is a super helpful thing to do! You get to make a monthly impact on our veterans, plus you get to help us build an accurate budget, ensuring we plan and execute the maximum amount of programs each month.
By "programs" we're mainly speaking about our exclusive positive reconditioning program. We basically help returning veterans live happier and healthier lives in a profound way. It's been called "the best one out there" by Congressman Nolan, and voted "Best Venture Impacting Veterans" by a panel of national judges through the Institute for Veteran Military Families.
$2,500 Sends one veteran through this complete life-changing program
$500 Sends them on a week-long outdoor wellness adventure in a distant state
$100 Outfits a veteran with fitness gear and a reconditioning playbook to follow throughout the 14-week program
Studies show 25% of veterans returning from recent conflict have a mental illness. The diagnosis of military-related PTS is 15 times higher than the civilian population. Depression is so common among our returning veterans that sadly over 130,000 have killed themselves since 9/11/01."
23rd Veteran has developed this groundbreaking positive-reconditioning program to retrain veterans’ brains to live comfortably and successfully in the civilian world. It takes a community to provide this healthy transition for our struggling veterans, and we really appreciate your help to continue these effective programs. We're asking you to give a significant donation to allow our veterans and their families to live well-adjusted lives.
"I Joined this program not knowing what it really is or how it would change me, and I found a better me. I was in a group that became a real part of life that helped with my depression and my overall opinion and attitude. I was eating better, sleeping better, and feeling better, all because of a missing bond found in any circle of veterans. The support from the program leaders as well as the group is phenomenal, and at the same time, you get to lift and work out problems with incredible people. You never think that something as simple as finding 3 positives about your day can have such a great effect on your mood until someone tells you-you'll be doing for 14 weeks! This program is inspiring and to any Vet...don't just sit down, sign up." -Jeremy Frydenlund
