More Info

We band together as pilgrims for Christ... Join us along with hundreds of other Catholics from across the country for a two-day, 35-mile penitential walk offering our physical and spiritual sacrifices for the defense of the traditional family and the sanctity of life - while pursing that which is Good, True, and Beautiful!

The Three Hearts Pilgrimage to the Benedictine monastery, Our Lady of Clear Creek Abbey in Hulbert, Oklahoma, was originally established by a group of young boys from the St. John Bosco Institute in the spirit of brotherhood, as the next generation of leaders soldiering for

Christ. Word of this “American Chartres” by the Institute’s adventurous pilgrims spread quickly. In 2020, the pilgrimage was granted an official blessing by Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke, and participating pilgrims and volunteers received a plenary indulgence for their sacrifices. Visit our website to read his 2020 message and to register for the upcoming walk October 20th - 22nd, 2022:

Quick Facts To Know

  • Duration of Pilgrimage: Thursday, October 20th (Check-in and set-up begins at 3pm) -

Saturday, October 22nd, 2022 until approx. 4pm (Exact times may change, stayed informed via our website)

  • The pilgrimage is a two-day 35 mile walk, ending with a pontifical high mass at Clear Creek Abbey and picnic after
  • We walk in reparation for the countless offenses committed against our Holy Mother Church, in defense of the traditional family, and for the sanctity of life. The Three Hearts Pilgrimage is modeled after France’s Chartres pilgrimage
  • Camping experience: Pilgrims camp overnight along the way; larger packs and gear will be shuttled to each campsite
  • Priests will have places to say daily mass and will hear “field” confessions for pilgrims
  • Sponsorship opportunity: For those who cannot go but wish to support the cause, the St. John Bosco Boys will be “Angel Walkers”, offering their pilgrimage for intentions of the donor. You can find this option under Tickets and Registration section at www.threeheartspilgrimage.org

Update #2

Hi all! We've started a new campaign page so we could connect it properly to our website. Thank you so much to all of you who have donated towards this year's walk! You will be added to a list of Angel Walkers, and will have a boy from the St. John Bosco Institute walking for your intentions in your name.

We are excited to see this year's pilgrimage is flooded with new pilgrims, we have 36 states represented (even some from Alaska!) It's important to us to keep prices steady, so that large families are not discouraged from being able to attend. Costs of food and equipment rentals and such have gone up quite a bit with the economy fluctuation, so finding sponsors is more important this year than previous years. Without this, it wouldn't be possible to coordinate these souls through such a tedious trek through the hills of Cherokee County.

If you know anyone that likes to support Catholic organizations, please consider forwarding our walk to them, and help us support these walkers on their sacrificial journey. We've added the cost breakdown to show where donated money is spent, and how one can sponsor individual portions if preferred.

Please remember our staff and volunteers in your prayers, because the spiritual battle over the traditional family unit and right to life hits hard in the months leading up to the walk each year. May God bless you for your support.
