More Info

The Cherokee Bluff Mountain Bike Team exists not as a “sports team” but as a youth development organization. We are part of the larger Georgia Cycling Association. We use the bicycle as our tool to get kids off couches, promote healthy and fit lifestyles, teach them the about setting goals, the love for outdoors, trail stewardship and more. It’s our goal for them to take these and make cycling a lifelong activity.

As a 501c3 nonprofit, we depend on private donations to provide the kids this programming. While affiliated with Cherokee Bluff High and Middle schools we do not receive, nor ask for any funding from them. In addition to individual yearly registration fees, race fees, bikes, helmets, uniforms, etc, we require equipment, nutrition, team tents, coolers, and more for race weekends. This adds up to several thousands of dollars in yearly budget. Currently there is some out of pocket expense from team parents. It’s our vision, through the generosity of public donations, to reduce or better yet, completely eliminate their out of pocket expense.

We all know the costs of traditional youth sports has gotten crazy and we do not want to ask those kinds of fees of our team’s parents. So we humbly and thankfully ask for you to donate to our team and our long term vision. If you are donating on behalf of a certain team member, please put his/her name in the “for” section of the payment.

Any amount helps and no donation is too small.
