The John Henry Singleton Foundation is fundraising to provide scholarship money for high school graduates to use towards their college education at an HBCU. We are currently in search of sponsors to help reach our goal.
I am Dr. Brittany R. Singleton and I am the Founder and Executive Director of the John Henry Singleton Foundation. The John Henry Singleton Foundation is a a 501c3 nonprofit organization that offers virtual and in person tutoring services in all subjects, grades K-12, ACT Prep, GED Prep, and Praxis Prep. Our mission is to provide educational opportunities to children in order to enhance their lives not only in the classroom, but also in the community. Our vision is to create lifelong learners and equip them with the skills to survive in our ever changing communities. We firmly believe in our motto of “Molding minds and changing lives one child at a time”. We sincerely seek to change this world through educating others.
The John Henry Singleton Foundation is named in memory of my father and brother. They both inspired me to become a teacher. My brother passed away in 2006 and my father passed away in 2009. I specifically chose to name my organization after them so that their name and legacy could live on. These two deaths severely impacted my life, yet they motivated me to be the best teacher I can be.
In honor of our vision and mission, the John Henry Singleton Foundation will be fundraising to raise scholarship money for high school graduates to use towards their college education at an HBCU. We are currently in search of sponsors to help the organization fulfill our goal.
Any donation amount will be greatly appreciated and our 501c(3) status allows you to make charitable donations and receive tax deductions. Please check with your tax professional for specific directions Thank you for taking the time to read this letter, it is my sincere hope that you choose to help support this scholarship initiative to help our youth.
