The 5 Star Planning Committee provides world-class education offerings at no cost. In lieu of a registration fee, attendees are asked to make a contribution to the Giving Fund benefiting worthy community organizations.
Funds raised at the 4th Annual Culture Conference will benefit SafeHome, Johnson County, Kansas, and Wreaths Across America, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. All donations are genuinely appreciated and will be put to good use in our community by these worthy organizations.
SafeHome's core purpose is to provide a healing atmosphere where survivors of domestic violence can gain inner strength, explore options, and be empowered to live a life free of abuse. Through shelter and other services, more than 8,000 individuals benefit-many receiving the support they need to lead healthy, independent lives. As the only domestic violence shelter in Johnson County, and the largest in the state of Kansas, Safehome strives to break the cycle of domestic violence and partner abuse for victims and their children in our community.
About Wreaths Across America
From the Revolutionary War to present day conflicts, our veterans are devoted sons and daughters, fathers and mothers, sisters, and brothers. They come from all backgrounds in life to place those lives on the line for our freedoms. In many homes, there is an empty seat for one who is serving or one who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Wreaths Across America honors the sacrifice by placing Veterans Wreaths on veteran graves in over 2,100 National Cemeteries at home and abroad at the holidays. Honoring the fallen in this way can only happen with contributions from the grateful. Giving Fund proceeds will be used at Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Countless unknown soldiers have been laid to rest at Fort Leavenworth.
