I am Marcus Watt Marketing Director and I am raising money for my rugby football club. Raising this money will help us expand and grow our organization within the LGBTQ+ community and bring exposure to our club!
Thank you all in advance for your donation, it is greatly appreciated!
Founded in 2009, the St. Louis Crusaders are a USA Rugby and International Gay Rugby men's team dedicated to the promotion of equality and diversity sports through rugby. We are proud to be a division IV social team in the Mid-American GU. We welcome all ages 18 and older regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, height, weight, build, and the level of fitness or experience.
Hello! I am Marcus Watt 25 years old, currently the Marketing Director/Fundraising Chair for the St. Louis Crusaders Rugby club. I have been playing rugby since 2015, and before I joined the Crusaders I was part of the Chicago Dragons Rugby football club. My time with the Dragons changed me as an athlete and person! This club showed me what being part of brotherhood was all about! To be proud of who we were as a club and as individuals! Every game we came together and fought on the pitch blood, sweat, and tears. Not to be paid, but to do something great among a group of guys who enjoy and respect the game of rugby. Off the pitch, we embedded ourselves in the LGBTQ+ community in Chicago. From raising money for charities to guest bar-tending for local gay bars, marching in the Pride parade and much much more.
I was always a player with the Dragons and never ran for a board position. Since moving to St. Louis, after a couple of seasons, I decided to run for a position, gratefully I was accepted! The Crusaders have not been around as long as the Dragons and the club is a lot smaller than the Crusaders. With my time in this position, I want to help bring what I have learned from the Dragon to the Crusaders! Fundraising is a huge part of building a successful strong rugby club, with your donation you can make that happen!
