2019 Ducky Splash and 5K Fun Run

The ShorkeyCenter is once again hosting our annual Ducky Splash and 5K Fun Run. This fun run/walk, benefitting the ShorkeyCenter, will be held April 13, 2019, at the Gulf Terrace Hike and Bike Trail, in Beaumont, Texas.  This unique event combines all the fun of a regular 5K with the splash of water and colored powder.  Each mile will be marked with water station to keep our runners hydrated.  Participants are encouraged to dress up in comfortable attire to be prepared to get wet and covered in colored powder!

The ShorkeyCenter services children for occupational, speech, physical therapy and ABA (applied behavior analysis).  Our children are diagnosed with many different diagnoses’ including Autism. This is our fourth year hosting this event and it has grown every year. All funds collected from our Ducky Splash and 5K Fun Run will benefit the ShorkeyCenter. Sponsorships are in great need!

We are asking your organization to consider sponsoring our event, please see attached sponsorship information. Or if your company would like to donate any items to be placed in our runners bags, anything will help.  In return we would like to add your company name to the back of our runners t-shirts and send a “Thank You” on our Facebook page.
