The City Council Movement’s mission is to strengthen the people’s political power by holding elected officials accountable via organizing, education and participatory democracy. We experienced incredible success in 2017, including the election of our candidate Seema Singh Perez to the District 3 city council seat and a tally of over 2000 write-in votes for our candidate Amelia Parker. Parker is back this year for another run in At-Large Seat C, joined by two other strong candidates: David Hayes in At-Large B and Charles Al-Bawi in District 5. These candidates are accountable to a people-centered platform and share the values of our movement. We are so excited to support them.
Will you please consider giving even a small amount to help sustain and grow the people's political power?
The 2019 City Council Movement is incorporated as a local PAC (People Power PAC) to support our candidates during and after elections. Your donation will help us cover the cost of a citywide candidate mailer prior to the primary elections, with the ultimate goal of improving our democratic process and bring transparency and accountability to local government.
