More Info

The Beta Sigma chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta at Southern Methodist University was founded in 1929. Since then, we have always made it a priority to give back to our community. Keeping up with our tradition, we will put on our annual Theta 5k run to be held on Sunday, September 25th 2016, starting in front of SMU Moody Coliseum.

The run is our largest philanthropic event of the year benefiting Theta's national philanthropy, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates).CASA provides volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children entering the court system. Your donations will go directly to CASA as they work to find each child a safe and permanent home.

We need your help in order to make this year's race a success. Last year we raised $30,000 for CASA! This year our goal is to raise $35,000. We need your support. We would love for you to join the run! Please sign up by clicking on this link and using the tab "Run!" (http://www.smutheta5k.com). If you cannot make it the day of, please consider donating to our cause to help us put on yet another successful race. Any contribution you are able to make will be greatly appreciated and acknowledged.
