Habitat for Humanity's Women Build initiative empowers women to build Habitat for Humanity homes and change the lives of families in our community!
Habitat for Humanity-North Central Georgia’s Women Build is planned to start in early 2020 in Forsyth or Cherokee County. During this 12 week build, over 300 women will come together to help build a home for a single mother in need of affordable, safe, and stable housing. The tasks for the build will include framing the walls, hanging drywall inside the home, installing siding on the outside, and painting the interior and exterior, and landscaping. All of the funds raised will help cover the cost of construction materials for this project. Women Build participants will receive a t-shirt and all necessary tools; food and water will be provided. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.
You can donate towards the home, form a team, or join the build as an individual. To volunteer on the build as an individual or a team member, you will need to donate or raise a minimum of $250 (per person/team member). Please click on "Become a Fundraiser" to the right to raise funds or start a team. Once you reach your minimum goal, contact Sabrina to sign up for a build day. You will be added to the list of participants and once the build schedule has been determined later this year, you will select a build day.
