More Info

Women Build is a nationwide Habitat for Humanity initiative to empower women to build Habitat for Humanity homes and change the lives of families within their community. House construction is seen as a traditionally male activity. The Women Build program seeks to remove the intimidation factor of the construction site and make women feel comfortable. We want women to learn new construction skills and realize that they, too, can “help build it!”

Habitat for Humanity-North Central Georgia’s 2015 Women Build sponsored by Infor will be held this spring and summer from April to August in the Villages at Park Creek neighborhood in the Hickory Flat area near the border of Cherokee and Fulton Counties. This home will be built in partnership with the Garas family and funds raised will cover the costs of construction materials, permits, professional labor, and site development for their home.

You can donate towards the home, form a team, or join the build as an individual. To register for the build as an individual or a team member, you will need to donate or raise at least $250 (per person/team member). Please click on the "Become a Fundraiser" link to the right to register for the build.
