Sing Me a Story hopes to provide 200 songs for children in need in 2020. Each song and accompanying video produced for the children we serve costs $65. Help us bring the voices of 200 children to the world in 2020!
Sing Me a Story partners with music venues and festivals to bring the voices of the children we serve to the world through music. In doing so, we send audio engineers out to the venues or festivals to record participating Sing Me a Story Songwriters backstage. In doing so, our engineers capture a handful of video clips and interviews with the artists. Afterward, we produce a short 1 - 2 minute video for the kids to accompany their Sing Me a Story Song.
The costs associated with producing these songs and videos for the children we serve are substantial. We pay our engineers $50 per Sing Me a Story Recording Session at one of our partner venues or festivals. Afterward, we pay our video editors $15 per accompanying video they produce for each song. Consequently, each song and video that is produced for one of the children we serve costs $65.
In 2019, we produced just over 160 songs and videos for children in need. Currently, we work with 120 music venues in 10 cities and 5 music festivals to bring the voices of the children we serve to the world through music. In 2020, it is our goal to expand the number of cities where we employ audio engineers to record Sing Me a Story Songs. In doing so, we feel that we could increase the number of songs and videos we're able to produce to 200 in 2020!
