Musicians have experienced huge financial hardships from live show cancellations. Let's give back to something that gives so much - music! I'm running a 10k to raise $10k for musicians and give hope during this time.
During this time of quarantine for COVID-19, I have desperately been missing live music, gatherings, and genuinely connecting with those I care about. My love of the music scene runs deep and I felt helpless to support the thousands of local Phoenix musicians who were suddenly without work.
So, I started to run to clear my head. And then, I had an idea.
Why not pair my solo process of running with a way to raise funds and awareness of our amazing music scene?
To give back, I will be running a 10k to raise $10k for the Phoenix music scene, helping provide a small stipend for a previously cancelled gig, an updated headshot or video promo. Based on the need, this could help a great deal of musicians and offer some hope during an uncertain time.
I will be highlighting local musicians along the way during this fundraiser and matching their stories with my 10k training.
I'm seeking 100 people to give a minimum of $10 and highlight a local musician they are a fan of.
I hope one of those people will be you!
I started The Zenith Experiment in 2019 as a way for people to experience unique live music events. Since we are still unable to gather in the way we used to, this fundraiser is one way to use my personal efforts to raise awareness about our incredible music scene here in Phoenix and provide a way to give back.
Let's work together and put a spotlight back on the virtual stage to offer love to the musicians who give so much to our community.
