The Youth Orchestra of Bucks County includes 11 ensembles and more than 300 students from across Philadelphia and its suburbs. The capstone to the 2012-13 season will be a visit from Mark O'Connor: "American bluegrass, jazz and country violinist, fiddler, composer and music teacher. O'Connor's music is wide-ranging, critically acclaimed, and he has received numerous awards for both his playing and his composition."

This helps YOBC fulfill two important missions - giving our students advanced instruction with world-class musicians and, because they will be joining Mark O'Connor on stage at the beautiful War Memorial in Trenton, an opportunity to play in a professional venue.
