Wow, we just started the UM Hillel Shabbat Campaign and I'm amazed by the fast response and generosity!  Thousands of students at Michigan will benefit from your support of meaningful Shabbat experiences on campus.

Thank you for giving,

Davey Rosen, Assistant Director, Univeristy of Michigan Hillel

U-M Hillel posted an update:

Every year the number of students that join us for Shabbat dinner has grown. Now, each week, we host on average 200-250 students. At the beginning of the year and during special themed Shabbats, we stretch our Shabbat community to as many as 500 for dinner in our Hillel. Our program has grown beyond our doors and into the campus community; reaching to the dorms, apartments, greek houses and homes of our students. We provide meals, or subsidize the cost for students who want to cook their own, so that they can invite students to be their guests and create their own welcoming environments.

This wonderful experience is now costing us close to $100,000 over and above our regular budget. We need your support to help finance this popular program. Please consider a special contribution earmarked to support our Shabbat program
